LAROC.com
(Library Association of the Republic of China Website)
Uxicorn is here to transform the rigid and lifeless association or government official websites into——intuitive, clear and professional information platforms.
My team "Uxicorn" secured the second position in the User Experience Research and Design Contest organized by the Library Association of the Republic of China (LAROC). Our success in this competition led to the adoption of our redesign proposal for the LAROC website, scheduled for implementation in 2024.
💡
For many Taiwanese, using association or government official websites in Taiwan has always been pretty dreadful, the designs are outdated, the information architecture is a mess——it feels like navigating through an old, cluttered online warehouse.

Intuitive & Impactful Homepage
By understanding the Association's needs, We designed a homepage focused on showcasing recent events and key announcements. The large-format advertisement layout was implemented to effectively capture user attention and drive engagement.

Filterable News Section with Tags
The previous pain point of the Latest News Section is the lack of clear categorization, with articles being simply sorted by time. To address this, I implemented a tag-based filtering system that allows users to sort news by categories. This provides a more organized way to browse content than chronological sorting, helping users intuitively find topics of interest.

User-Friendly Registration Page
The primary objective of the association's website is to attract new members. To improve the registration interface, we incorporated a hover feature that clearly presents information on membership types and fees, simplifying the decision-making process and allowing potential members to easily understand their options and make informed choices.
