What I worked on—
Project Lead Interaction Design

Virtual Rehearsal allows you to simulate your onsite presentation practice in a highly realistic VR environment——and receive valuable Q&A interactions and feedback.
My partner and I led a group of six to develop Virtual Rehearsal, an LLM-integrated VR project that won Best Research at the 2024 Open HCI Student Workshop and was selected for the demo showcase at the 2024 Taiwan Human-Computer Interaction Conference (TAICHI), all within a tight time frame of just 7.5 days during a hackathon.
😬
When you think about public presentations,
how do you feel?
77% of people experience anxiety and fear about public speaking (Fraculj & Kovacic, 2022).
93% of people experience anxiety related to interviews (JDP, 2022).

👨🏻🏫
Virtual Rehearsal is your go-to tool for mock onsite presentation practice.
Practice realistic presentations
anytime, anywhere
Put on a VR headset to immerse yourself in a realistic presentation environment—customize settings, choose venues, manage time with a countdown, and switch slides seamlessly. After your presentation, engage in an LLM-powered Q&A session and receive detailed performance feedback.

Through extensive literature reviews, advisor discussions, and interviews with eight participants, we identified two key sources of anxiety in onsite presentations: live audiences and the Q&A session. Based on these insights, we designed the product with audience avatars that blend LLM and human-controlled avatars. When indistinguishable, these avatars create an exceptionally realistic audience experience.
Blending LLM and live audience avatars—a larger crowd with minimal effort.

Next, let’s talk about the innovative Mixed Real and LLM Audience design in our product and why it matters.

🧠
For the challenging Q&A and feedback session after a presentation, our design combines the unique strengths of LLM and real human feedback.
